Campbell's Recess Rules!™ Program Encourages Schools
to Promote Physical Activity

Hollywood, Fla. (May 16, 2008) — Campbell's Labels for Education program awarded students at Hollywood Hills Elementary School with an "all-day" recess featuring the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters, and one million Labels for Education (LFE) bonus points to redeem for the tools and resources the school needs most. It's all thanks to an entry from a kindergartner's family member in Campbell's Recess Rules! sweepstakes, which Campbell created in response to the trend in schools across the country to eliminate recess from their curriculum.1

"Campbell Soup Company and the Harlem Globetrotters believe physical fitness is critical to children's health and development, which is why the decreasing amount of physical activity in schools today is a major concern," said Anne Pizarro, program director, Campbell's Labels for Education. "We are committed to promoting childhood wellness and support increased opportunities for physical activity in schools."

To get kids excited about physical activity, the Harlem Globetrotters will join the students for a variety of healthy and fun recess-related activities.

"We are thrilled that our school received this great opportunity from Campbell's Labels for Education to have the Harlem Globetrotters visit and teach our students about the importance of physical activity," said Hollywood Hills Elementary School Principal Vered Roberts. "We also are excited to redeem our Labels for Education bonus points, which we're giving to each teacher to order the resources they need, which means every child in our school will benefit."

Mayor Peter Bober also will be on hand to congratulate Hollywood Hills Elementary School and recognize Campbell's Labels for Education for its efforts related to physical activity.
